About Us
Established in 1998 Scholars’ Academic Home, Haldwani is a fully day scholar co-educational school affiliated to CBSE, New Delhi.
The Campus is surrounded by an inspiring nature with green fields and panoramic view of the Lower Himalayan hills. The atmosphere is serene with well laid out roads, gardens, avenue of trees and lawns. The school has 4 well-equipped labs, Smart classes, Auditorium with modern apparatus, a well stocked library and computer education. Our academic session is from April to March. During the session various activities are organized class wise, house wise and club wise. Our students take an active part in various competitions held outside. The school believes in providing maximum facilities to the students. Generator, water coolers and water purifiers have been installed by the school management. Our students possess the spirit of generosity and brother hood. They are always ready to extend their help at the time of need.

Primary Stage Curriculum With the aim of qualitative improvement of primary education there has been a deliberate reduction in curriculum load. In the revised curriculum the content is drawn from immediate environment and the strategies adopted are such that enhance the skills of observation, collection, classification experimentation and inferences. Learning is an activity through which we nurture free and creative expression of skills, habits, attitudes and values. Oral-aural skills are emphasized in the area of language and environmental sciences. The language used in teaching and learning facilitates smooth understanding of concepts besides encouraging children for self-learning.
Upper-Primary
At the middle school stage, we integrate science and technology and social sciences to the curriculum. In language, the emphasis is on developing all skills i.e. listening, reading, writing and grammar. In science, the focus is on developing key concepts and encourage learners to design experiments using local resources. The focus is also on the relevant information about the geography, history, civics and economies of the country and the world at large.
Senior-Curriculum
The students of classes IX-X strictly follow the syllabus as prescribed by the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi and prepare to excel in the board examinations. A flexibility of methodology and learning systems is strongly encouraged so that learning by rote is completely negated.The following subjects are offered for study at the secondary level: English Communicative, Hindi, Mathematics, Science, Social Science and Foundation of Information Technology
Assessment –
The school has a system of continuous assessment and evaluation through Note Book, Subject Enrichment and Terminal examinations. The cumulative report card reflects grades obtained by a student and at the end of the academic session. The sum total of all tests, exams and assignments is taken into consideration for promotion to the next higher class. Students from classes I to X shall be assessed by examination system in view of the latest examination reform introduced by CBSE
